Rhipsalis is a wonderfully wild trailing plant, made up of masses of slender green stems that tumble over the edges of planters. Despite its tropical looks, it’s actually a type of cactus, although you’re much more likely to find it growing amongst trees than in the desert.
Its cascading growth makes Rhipsalis particularly good for hanging planters, shelves and elevated planting, where its greenery can be left to do its thing. It prefers bright, indirect light and a little more humidity than your average cactus, making it a characterful choice for bringing texture, movement and a slightly untamed feel to a space.
